Participates in the 71st China Electronics Fair |

The world's largest independent semiconductor
and CPU distributor and leader of the global
independent electronic components distributors—Smith
& Associates shall participate in the 71st China
Electronics Fair, which shall be held in April in
Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. As the
most important electronics fair in the market of
China—China Electronics Fair (CEF) is an important
channel for Smith to explore the Chinese market;
located in Shenzhen, the fair is an important
corridor to link the Hong Kong international
passageway and mainland market, and we believe that
the success of fair will further promote Smith’s
China market plan.
Looking at the performance of the company in 2007,
it gained favor from more manufacturers by virtue of
its globalized operation network and financial
strength advantage. Faced with an increasingly
mature and competitive independent distributor
market in China, Smith & Associates passed the ISO
9001:14000 last year, and started to depend more on
third-party testing organizations to protect the
reliable quality. The company established the first
office in Shanghai in 2004, so as to directly
intervene the domestic distribution market of
electronic components. In the past, the majority of
the independent distributors set up strongholds in
Hong Kong in order to penetrate in the domestic
market, with the opening up policy on the foreign
distribution after China's accession to the WTO,
their pace to enter the domestic market becomes
increasingly rapid.
At the same time, Chitron Electronics Inc.—one of
the largest domestic independent distributors of
electronic components, P&S Group—one of China's most
famous electronic components distributors and
service provider for the mass market, US Trusted
Components—one of the well-known companies for
providing inventory management service of
semiconductor components, and other enterprises will
bring their well-known components to participate in
the CEF.
