Electronics information industry has been the main
engine of Pearl River Delta in South China.
Strategic industry clusters presented with computer
and accessories, software, telecom, Audio-Video
products, micro-electronic and components have
emerged. It is the main industry of Shenzhen with
the strongest competition ability, increasing by 66%
annually.
Quickly developing electronic information industry
makes Shenzhen an important electronic information
manufacturing base in China or even in the world.
Shenzhen has been ranked No. 1 with its scale of
electronic information industry and its export for
more than 10 years in China. Dongguan, Shenzhen’s
neighbor city, named New IT town of China, has
become a new international manufacturing base with
30,000 manufacturing enterprises, including over
3,000 electronic information companies. Its
electronic information industry contributes 45% to
the whole city’s GDP. Since CEF was initiated in
Shenzhen from 2004, it has created great business
opportunities which have been promoting the
development of electronic information industry in
whole Pearl River Delta. |
